Excitement in the Air!!!
Well, I found out quite by accident that my wonderful boyfriend paid a visit to my mother and father on Friday night to ask their permission to marry me! I can't even begin to communicate how excited I am about this. We have been discussing in more detail wedding dates and honeymoon destinations:) This is definitely getting to be fun! I'm waiting (somewhat impatiently at this point) to announce our official engagement.

That is wonderful... Congratulations!
Well, Phillip did find out that I found out that he was going to talk to my Dad. Phillip even told me the highlights of the conversation that he had with my parents. See, here's the short version of what happened. Phillip called my Dad and told him he wanted to come visit on Friday night (this occurred Thursday night). I was on the phone with my Dad later that night and he asked me what Phillip was coming over for. He didn't know that I didn't know and that I wasn't supposed to know because Phillip forgot to inform him to keep it a secret. Anyway, I thought Dad was kidding so I made a joke. Then Dad realized that I didn't know and said, "OH NO! Don't tell him!" Well, I was trying to get in touch with Phillip late Friday night and he wouldn't answer his cell phone. I started to freak out and think that he'd had a wreck on the way home from Clarksdale, so I tried calling my mom and dad's cell phones. I didn't want to call the house because i was afraid of waking them up. I also didn't know at that time if Phillip's family even knew that he was going to be traveling to my parents' house. So, around 12:30am or so, after I had left probably 5 voice messages for Phillip and also sent several text messages to his phone, mom finally told him that I knew and that he should call me. The reason he hadn't called is because his phone didn't have enough reception to make a phone call or to check his voice messages. So, Phillip finally called me and my caller ID showed up that he was caling from my parents' house and he had to confess. He tried to convince me that he drove all the way there to discuss with my dad the arrangements of moving me from Fort Worth back to Mississippi. It wasn't convincing!!!
